Scott Williams
Small Business Instructor

Scott Williams founded S.L. Williams & Associates, Inc. in 1996.  It was during the same year he began teaching classes in the USW Career Development Program.  In the past 14 years, Scott has had the opportunity to offer his Small Business and E-bay classes in 25 ICD sites across the United States.  In addition to courses on “How to Start and Run a Small Business” and the “Learn How to Use E-bay to Make Money”, Scott offers courses in the following:

  • Business Planning
  • Developing A Green Consulting Business (new course in 2010)
  • Art and Techniques of Effective Selling
  • Small Business Marketing
  • Small Business Record Keeping

In 2008, Scott conducted his first “telecast” course.  This technology allows students to take the “How to Start and Run a Small Business” course from the convenience of his/her home 24/7.  This course is currently offered through the “telecasting” format.

Scott is a graduate of Indiana University and has completed graduate work in instructional design at Purdue University Calumet.  The majority of Scott’s knowledge comes from his practical business experiences he has gained from careers in retail management, sales, teaching, marketing and small business ownership.

He has been able to utilize his previous work experiences to develop courses that he believes are truly beneficial to his students and clients.  Scott has enjoyed and appreciated his relationship with the Career Development Program and looks forward to the future.
