FAQ
What does consent of instructor mean?
If you have the skills and don’t need the pre-requisite course,
call JobLink and we will put you in touch with the instructor. Once the instructor talks to you, he/she can determine if you have the skills you need for this advanced class. Bottom line: the instructor wants to make sure that you will be successful in the class you are taking.

Procedure for Spouse/Retiree
registration
Effective October 2004
Spouses and retirees will continue to have 2 days allocated for registration. However, these days will now be the last 2 days before the actual 2 week window before the class starts.
We will not “bump out” any spouses or retirees who registered on these two days.
Spouses/ retirees will be able to register by phone on these two days. Only spouses that have previously registeredwith us are eligible for phone registration.
With computer classes, since 2 sessions are always promoted in the catalog, spouses/retirees can register for the 1st & 2nd session on their 2 days; however, for the second 10 week session, they will be put on an interested list until the last 2 days before the actual 2 week window before the class starts. At this point, we will know how many active Local 1010 are in the computer classes, and we will use those 2 days to contact spouses/retirees either by phone or mail to notify them that they are in the class and at the same time take the registration information by phone. Confirmation letters will be sent to those spouses/retirees to confirm placement.
Local 1010 members will be able to register until the day before the class starts if there are openings.
